Intel's upcoming Arc G3 processor family is launching soon in many handhelds from the company's OEM partners. We know that the Arc G3 comes in two configurations: the standard Arc G3 with 10 Xe3 GPU cores, and the higher-end Arc G3 Extreme featuring 12 Xe3 cores. According to rumors, there might even be an entry-level version with 4 Xe3 GPU cores. In addition to the lower GPU configuration, the CPU cluster is also expected to differ, with rumors suggesting 4 P-Cores, zero E-Cores, and 4 LPE-Cores on the SoC. While the regular Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme are intended for high-end handheld gaming devices, the entry-level G3 would offer a more affordable solution for mobile gaming at lower resolutions.
Regarding TDP, Intel will reportedly optimize this SoC for power consumption between 8 W and 25 W, making it very efficient. Interestingly, in the existing "Panther Lake family," there are many SKUs that correspond to the CPU core and GPU core configurations. These include the Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 5 335, Core Ultra 7 355, and Core Ultra 7 365 SKUs, each with different TDPs, turbo speeds, NPU TOPS, and GPU frequencies. Intel could use one of these as a blueprint for the entry-level Arc G3 SoC.
